Covid-19 vaccines and safety

Covid-19 vaccine and safety for Healthcare workers

Covid-19 vaccines are important for the safety of healthcare workers and their friends, family and patients. Public Health England advises healthcare workers to enroll for the vaccine. Vaccinations are important to limit the spread of coronavirus.

  • Getting vaccinated protects not only you, but also your family, friends and community.

  • When enough people get vaccinated, it’s harder for a disease to spread

  • It is much safer for your immune system to learn how to fight illnesses through vaccination

Are vaccines safe for you?

Yes. The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) have approved the vaccines. Vaccines undergo rigorous testing and clinical trial periods set out by the MHRA before being made available to the public. Public Health England has confirmed the Pfizer/BioNtech vaccine was tested on 43,500 people during its clinical trial.

Our clients and work opportunities

A vast majority of our clients require proof of vaccination and expect agency workers to meet the basic safety requirements. Failure to adhere to these requirements might result in fewer work opportunities with our agency.

Our clients are setting out rapid testing which includes:

  • Workplace testing programs where tests are conducted on arrival by our clients.

  • For care at home services, we have implemented the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing process in line with the PHE & department of social care standards.

In addition to these safety measurements, healthcare professionals are encouraged to enroll for vaccination.
