Please note of the following important updates, regarding mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinations:

  • All Care Home Staff need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by 11 November 2021

  • Once vaccinated, A24 Group Agency Staff must send us Proof of Vaccination (NHS COVID Pass)

People working in CQC-registered care homes need to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated with both doses

An important press release from the Department of Health and Social Care, states everyone working in care homes are to be fully vaccinated under new law to protect residents, by 11 November 2021. As such, every A24 Group Agency Worker must have two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine (unless they have a medical exemption) – and send the A24 Group proof of vaccination, so that we can continue to book Care Home Staff for shifts.

Medical exemptions from COVID-19 vaccination

You can apply for a medical exemption if you cannot get vaccinated or tested for medical reasons. Find out who can apply and how to apply for a medical exemption on GOV.UK. The possible reasons for exemptions are limited. Further details on exemptions is available here.

NHS COVID Pass

An NHS COVID Pass shows your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination details or test results. This is your COVID-19 status.

How to get your NHS COVID Pass

You can get an NHS COVID Pass digitally through the NHS App or the online NHS COVID Pass service.

You can download your digital NHS COVID Pass and print it. If you cannot apply digitally using the NHS App or online service, you can ask for an NHS COVID Pass letter to be sent to you in the post.

Send Your NHS COVID Pass to the A24 Group

In order to qualify for shifts in care homes, you must complete both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. And send a copy of your NHS COVID Pass to the A24Group at oh@a24group.com

COVID-19 Boosters and Flu vaccinations

This autumn and winter COVID-19 boosters and flu vaccinations are critical to protecting lives, livelihoods, and the NHS. There could be a significant flu surge this winter coinciding with continuing or rising COVID-19 cases. This is due to colder weather which favours transmission, darker nights which mean increased social contact indoors where it is less well ventilated and expected lower immunity to flu due to lower levels in circulation last winter. An estimated 131,300 lives have been saved by the COVID-19 vaccine so far - and up to nearly 24.3 million infections prevented according to the Weekly Covid-19 Surveillance report, Week 39.
