EU Settlement Scheme - Recent Updates

As you may know, the EU Settlement Scheme has been fully open since 30 March 2019 and there have been over 2.2 million applications. EU citizens and their family members have until 31 December 2020 to apply.

If you’re an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen, you and your family members can apply to the EU Settlement Scheme free of charge. Applicants only need to prove their identity, demonstrate their UK residence and declare any criminal convictions.

The iOS version of EU Exit: ID Document Check App is now available from the Apple app store and can be used on iPhone models 7 and above. The iOS app works in the same way as the Android app and can be used to verify your identity. For more information visit GOV.UK.

  • Translated GOV.UK guidance and materials are available too.

  • For anyone who needs additional support completing the online application, an Assisted Digital service is available.

  • A network of voluntary and community sector organisations across the UK is also ready to help us reach vulnerable or at-risk EU citizens and their family members.
